Starting With Less Than You Need

Every brewery starts compromised. You can't afford the canning line, so you hand-fill bottles. You can't afford a proper cold room, so you bodge something together with a second-hand refrigeration unit and some insulation panels. You can't afford a forklift, so you move everything by hand and by pallet truck.

You tell yourself it's temporary. You'll upgrade when the money starts coming in. But the money never comes in the way you imagined, and "temporary" becomes permanent. That bottle filler you were going to replace in year one? You'll still be using it in year four, cursing it every single time.
