Before you brew a single pint, you need permission. Lots of it. From multiple government bodies, none of whom talk to each other, most of whom move at geological speed, and all of whom can shut you down or fine you if you get it wrong. The regulatory burden on a small brewery is staggering, and it starts long before you open the doors.
