You've probably done a rough costing of your beer at some point. Most people who think about opening a brewery have. You work out what the malt costs, add up the hops, factor in yeast, and arrive at a number that makes the whole thing look viable. The problem is that rough costings miss half the picture, and the half they miss is the half that kills you.
