The Cost of Compliance
Doing health and safety properly costs money. PPE, extraction equipment, CO2 monitors, electrical testing, training courses, professional risk assessments — none of it is free. For a small brewery already running on thin margins, it's another significant expense that doesn't make you a single penny in revenue.
But the cost of not doing it is worse. An employee injury means lost time, increased insurance premiums, potential legal action, and the guilt of knowing someone got hurt on your watch. An HSE prosecution means fines, legal fees, and reputational damage that could finish your business entirely.
